Site Info

1. How do I register? It's simple, go to the home page: www.standard09.co.uk and click the register button on the left hand side, then simply follow the step-by-step instructions.

2. Why was my application unsuccessful? Here at Standard, we like to keep Standards high, and we are very particular with the types of users we want on the site. Unfortunately we are not able to provide feedback for unsuccessful requests. However the following points are frequently raised by the Standard Administrators. ? You must have evidence of existing work of a suitable style and standard before you can be listed. ? You must be able to provide references. ? The calibre of people you are working with is critical. ? Camera Phone Pics, or Webcam images ? You took too long to activate your account. ? Administrators decisions are final, but they may have the opinion that you have potential - in this case, they will inform you why your portfolio has been rejected and will advise on how to improve and return to the site later in time.

3. My images won't upload Check the file size, if it's too large - it won't upload.

4. I don't have any professional images If you don't have any Professional Images, yet you are a upcoming Model wanting to start in the Industry, take some snapshots and fill out the application form. You may never know, we may see potential in your image and accept the request. The other option is to contact your local Photography Studio and book yourself in, pay for an hour Photoshoot and upload those images.

5. How did the Site start? The 'Standard' brand launched in December 2009 due to a lack of Professional / Industry Standard Creative Networking sites specifically surrounding the Fashion & Editorial Photographic Industry. With so many websites catering for the amateur glamour market, we decided to offer a platform for the many creatives out there who would benefit from using these services. Hence the name, we are all about setting Standards, and this is the Industry Standard creatives should be hitting.
